Mayoi Goes On A Nature Trip

I love to travel and my toys are getting the perks of seeing lush landscapes and scenic views like I do. It's my therapy, my sweet escape and it's something that I'll never get tired of doing to refresh myself for the stress of the daily grind in the city. Last weekend, I went hiking again with my travel buddy, Mayoi at the beautiful Tinipak River in Daraitan Rizal. It's toy photography + travel time for the both of us. It's her first time seeing a river and she seemed too happy about it!

Here she is enjoying a calm view of Tinipak River.

This shot was taken at the riverbank, I made sure that she won't fall off or else she'll be carried away by the current LOL. I won't have a travel buddy anymore when that happens. T_T

Me: "Don't get too close!"

Mayoi: "But I want to swim!"

Good thing that there are rocks around so I could make her stand without using anything, I just lodged her foot in between those rocks. :D

I hope you enjoyed this photoset! I'll be gone again this weekend for another trip, and I'm thinking of bringing someone along with Mayoi so she won't be lonely, so watch out for my next post! :D

Nendoroid Easter Sunday

Hello! Today's all about bunnies and Easter eggs, so I just did a shoot with my Nendoroids dressed up as Easter bunnies celebrating this wonderful holiday! I made the basket and the eggs using clay, you all know that's how I made my tiny props and I got the costume from a local store.

..while I got those giant ones from chocolate packs. :3

..oh wait, someone just joined in!

It's Kuma Sawako! She doens't have a bunny costume, yet she's still looking kawaii as ever!

First Look: Figma Mikasa Ackerman

Ohhh you could imagine my happiness and excitement when I saw that package on my bed! I finally have Shingeki No Kyojin's main female protagonist in my collection, all thanks to Wrenhobbi Toy Store! Thank you very, very much!

As usual, I couldn't wait to have a photoshoot right then and there so after carefully unboxing her, I immediately took her outside for a quick shoot! I shall post more in the next few weeks!

Luckily, we have lots of trees in our backyard so I just played with Mikasa there, posing her in between branches and using that hook + strings included in the package, I was also able to hang and swing her around LOL. Reminds me of that episode where they encountered that lady titan in the woods.

I love how Mikasa looked so detailed, from the buckles of her belts to the paint job of the 3D maneuver gear, GSC got the anime form perfectly! I also like how that can make lots of combat poses for her, all thanks to Figma's endless poseability for its figures.

This last FP is my favorite. It just shows how badass Mikasa is. You could see and feel her rage in almost every angle with this FP!

With a fury so great, you'd know she's ready to kick and slash some titan butt!

Ummm.. almost! XD ...so sorry, I don't have any titan figures LOL

I'm currently making a diorama for her next shoot, I just bought supplies at the hardware store and I hope I could pull that set up because it's been so long since I watched Attack on Titan. Now, speaking of that series, I hope they release the next season soon! The wait is far too great to bear! T_T

Welcome To my room

I just made my own cute little girls room! Whenever I don't travel, I find time to make stuff like this. Everything I used to create this room are your typical school materials like cardboards, sticks, glue, water color, clay. The key is you have to be resourceful and creative! I've been posting the DIY Japanese room I made on my Facebook page, and whenever I feel crafty, I'm building this tiny room for my toys, piece by piece.

This first photoset features Mayoi in a very laidback afternoon. Her little sister went out with the other girls so she has the entire house (er, room) by herself.

The subtle light is coming from a modeling lamp placed behind the room's window. I placed a paper diffuser to soften the light coming in.

The bunkbed is made of barbeque sticks! XD It reminds me of the old bunk bed that I used to share with my sisters when we were kids. :)

Mayoi likes to read Shoujo manga too. :3
