Hi, I'm Pinkcheeks! :)
Hello! My name is Scher but I'm most commonly known as 'Pinkcheeks' in the toy photography community. I live in the Philippines with my family and 5 dogs and I love milktea more than anything else in the world!
I work as a graphic designer and I've been taking figure photos since 2010. I'm using a Canon 600D with 50mm 1.8 lens, and just recently, I switched to go mirrorless (Fujifilm XA2) for convenience. I used to take event photos, model portraits, and even landscapes but after purchasing my first figure, a miniature Danboard, I got hooked into toy photography!
I love toy photography because you get to immerse yourself in their world and come up with wonderful stories. I like the challenge of making them look vibrant and life-like in my photos. Also, toy photography takes my stress away from the daily grind and it's making me feel like a kid again.
I'm a huge dreamer and I'm proud to say that hard work has helped a lot in achieving most of what has been happening in my hobby life right now. Now the ultimate dream I have at the moment is having my own works get printed into official boxarts someday... I also dream of going to an international convention to talk and spread the joy about toy photography and also visit GSC office in Japan and have a selfie with Mamitan and Kahotan! ^_^
