Feeling Crafty: Bedroom Series

On my next #feelingcrafty series, is a DIY Nendoroid bedroom set! I made this last month and you have no idea how hard it is to set up! It took me an hour to put those mniatures in place haha! The details are super important to create a realistic miniature bedroom so I have to be picky with what to put in here. Since I'm a big Trafalgar Law fan, this bedroom is made for him lol, seems to have everything from posters, to scale figures and even a plush toy! XD

Let's see how the Hatsune sisters bond in their cozy little room.

Say hello to Halloween Miku, Sakura Miku, Snowbell Miku and Magical Snow Miku! I didn't know I'd have this much Miku's in my life! XD

Sassy Halloween Miku-chan wants you to come closer~

Oh it's milk, tea and cookies for tonight and Miku-chan looks like she can't get enough!

Nomnomnom~

Hmmm I wonder what the girls are up to.......

Sakura Miku: "Oh look, Lunar Miku nee-san just got a spotlight at Kahotan's blog!"

Magical Snow Miku: "Oooohhh Nee-san looks beautiful!"

Snow Bell Miku: "She looks like me hahaha!"

Magical Snow Miku: "No way, she got better style than you!"

Halloween Miku: "Okay dibs on her mooncake!"

Being girls as they are, they always have that typical girl talk at their room.

Halloween Miku: "Kyaaaa~ SENPAI NOTICED ME!"

Sakura Miku: "........"

Snow Bell Miku: "Wow what did he say??"

Halloween Miku: "..then he was like, "Hi Miku-chan!" Kyaaaaaaa~ I'm so happyyyy!"

Sakura Miku: "...."

Halloween Miku: "SENPAI KNOWS MY NAME!! Kyaaaaa~ XD"

Magical Snow Miku: "Ehhh? I don't believe you!"

Snow Bell Miku: "Hahahahaha you look silly, nee-chan!"

Sakura Miku: "...."

Catching up on their favorite manga before going to sleep!

..and now they're off to dreamland~

Miku got a new playmate! I think they're having a tea party! :)

Another set of bedroom was a DIY kit I bought from my friend. Unlike the first bedroom, this one is pretty handy because all parts are readily available, you just need to build it from scratch! You just need to be diligent to create your own bedroom for your nendoroids you know ;)

First Look: Nendoroid Elsa

"The cold never bothered me anyway..." Oh I am super excited for today's blog post as she is one of the most anticipated Nendoroid from last year! I still remember how excited I was when I found out on Twitter first, it was Summer WonFes 2014 when she was announced and those who are at the con were super lucky to catch a glimpse of her prototype!

A year ago, GSC shared this teaser at Summer Wonfes last year on Twitter and everyone got really excited, including me!!!

Now here she is! Say hello to the Queen of Arendelle, Nendoroid Elsa! It's amazing that GSC will ever be fond of making Disney characters as Nendoroids, and it's been quite a while too! (they made a Nendoroid Mickey and Minnie) At that time when Nendoroid Elsa was announced, the Frozen hype is still high so it's very timely that they're making a Nendoroid version of her, so why not? :D

Nendoroid Elsa comes with a free background that you can use for your figure photos. It's a pretty view of her kingdom, Arendelle so she looks really at home!

You shouldn't ignore these backdrops or else GSC will stop making them for us. LOL jk.

The blister pack comes with the figure, 2 additional faceplates, extra arms, a snowflake part, Olaf and a special base. No stand included since this nendoroid can stand on her own, thanks to her extended cape.

The base is quite big and it has Elsa's trademark snowflake emblem on it which makes it really special.

You'd never see the Queen of Arendelle as cute as this and we have to thank GSC for that. From the brushed up hair to her dress, they really did well in making a chibified version of Elsa! Dressed in her most popular outfit, the glittered top and the gradient on her skirt looks really great and the faded shading is visible in any lighting.

My most favorite part of her dress is her semi-transparent cape, it's also glittery and the print of her emblem is a nice touch.

A slit on her skirt shows her tiny detailed blue pumps.

She comes with 3 faceplates: a half smiling face, which looks really cute and charming!

A singing faceplate, so you could recreate that famous scene where's she's singing the movie's theme song at her ice castle!

I was humming while doing the shoot though. That's one of the effects figure photography's giving me, you'll get so drawn to the figure while doing the shoot. If you know what I mean. XD

..and my most favorite, her trademark smirking face! I'm so happy they made justice to Elsa's iconic face!

They added a tiny snowflake accessory to put on her hand for fans to recreate her most popular look!

Olaf, the snowman who wants warm hugs is also included! Hey Olaf, how's th... oh..

"WHERE'S MY NOSE?! I've always wanted a nose!"

"QUEEN ELSA, HELP!!! Can you make me a new nose? PLEASE!"

"You mean this?" *zap*

"THANK YOU! Thank you my queen! Doesn't look like a teeny baby unicorn, but it looks better now......oh hello there!

Hi, I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs!

They look good together side by side, she's the one who created Olaf after all. ;)

Tutorial: How To Make Miniature Manga

I've been reading manga lately, I'm reading like, 5 manga titles right now and it helps me pass time at work, during office breaks, even when commuting going home, I'm still reading manga. Today I'm gonna show you how to make miniature manga for your Nendoroids and Figmas. I'm a big fan of One Piece so I'm going to use One Piece manga volumes for this tutorial!

I printed these on a 6in x 4in photo paper. The size of each miniature manga is 35mm x 25mm x 15mm when folded. As for the pages, it's 120mm x 25mm. Feel free to download the One Piece manga cover templates and the random manga pages here: https://goo.gl/wSsJnF

Materials

Scissors,

Manga covers

Random manga pages

Stick (that's a barbeque stick)

Glue

Step 1:

Start cutting the manga covers.

Step 2:

Once done, take the cut out cover and form the spine that will hold the manga pages later. Press the cover lightly on the stick to form the spine.

Step 3:

Take one set of pages and start folding it. The reason why I choose to fold it because i want to have back to back pages for my manga. You have an option to increase the pages as you like. Also, you can cut and paste each page too. For the set I made, it gave me 4 back to back manga pages.

Step 4:

Using a heavy object, flatten out the pages so it will be easier to close the manga.

Step 5.

Glue the bottom part of the manga pages on the cover.

Step 6:

Let it dry for 5 minutes, I used GSC's clip on stand to press the pages together. It gives a tight fit and it presses hard enough for the pages to bond.

Step 7:

Once it dries, try checking if all pages are pasted together.

Yay! you now have miniature manga volumes for your Nendoroids/Figmas! They can now catch up with the latest chapters with you, just like Mako-chan! ^)^

Kotobukiya Sebastian Michaelis - Kuroshitsuji

Ahhh, it's been a while since I last took photos of scale figures. I'm so happy I got friends who collect more figures than I do, so I'm really thankful I got a chance to take photos of the newly released figure from Kotobukiya! Here's Sebastian Michaelis' from the popular series Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji), this time the figure's from their third installment titled Book of Circus.

My buddy also had a Ciel Phantomhive figure that I decided to take photos together with Sebby. They look so good together :3

Ciel's base was a huge chess piece and I don't like to include it on this shoot so I just leaned him on one of the Sebby's frames here....and he now looks like he's part of Sebby's figure!

..okay I'll stop before you all think you could buy them both at the same time LOL. I bet you got both figures already, it feels totally incomplete with just one!

Sebastian's really one hell of a butler, don't you think? <3 p="">

Hope you like this set, I want to take more scale figures next time! I am eagerly waiting for my Satsuki Senketsu ver, and I know she's set for release this month already. She's one of those scale figures I'm looking forward to this year :D
