One Rainy Dinner Night at Chic-Boy

9:30 AM

Whatscherwantsschergets talaga... Typhoon Falcon has unleashed it's might that night and there I was, happily strolling at Gateway Mall just to get my little fig. The bus ride to Cubao was longer than usual due to the very, very bad weather (my umbrella gave up on me lol) but I managed it by sleeping for like, almost an hour just to make it to the place hehe. Then I got little MitMit again! ^_^ He's such a little adorable green thing... He reminds me of someone who's such an Android geek, so I intend to give this away soon.
Anyway, I've been on this huge food trip week lately (it's QQweek lol) so I tried Chic-Boy at their branch in Araneta Center. Looks like this is just a newly opened branch coz the other part of the place is still being renovated.
Anyway, the that's the spacious counter. The ambiance feels home-y and warm. Feels like you just entered someone else's kitchen. The staff are friendly and helpful too.
Weee~ Danbo and MitMit likes it here :3
Chic-Boy coz, Chicken + Baboy. LOL. Plain and simple. I saw their website and some branches are open for 24 hours. Hehe..navigating at the site makes me feel like I'm grilling something because of that animated fire cursor.
I dunno what soup this is. Tastes like pork. I still prefer Mang Inasal's sinigang soup.
For less than Php150.00 you're all set for a good order of Pinoy food + unlimited rice and refillable iced-tea.
I ordered Cebu Lechon Liempo coz of some high recommendation I got from a friend. Well, I thought of trying their Chicken Inasal at first but I guess it won't hurt if I try it this time. I like how they offer free garlic bits to add it to my plain rice so I could have free garlic rice on my plate. Weeee~ (i'm a fan of sinangag  :3)
I like how the liempo tastes, even without the Mang Tomas sauce, the meat is juicy and tasty. LOL I even tried pouring chicken oil on it (the usual inasal way) but it still tastes good. I find it weird tasting something funny while chewing the meat. I get to chew some leafy substance which I guess they used while grilling the meat.

I guess I'll comeback this week at their Boni Ave. branch. Just one jeepney ride away from our office. Then I'll try their Chicken Inasal at that time. LOL..and oh, I guess the typhoon's gonna leave this coming week so I can go anywhere without any hassles. =)

BEWARE!!! DO NOT EAT AT CHIC-BOY SHOPWISE, ARANETA CENTER, CUBAO!!! WE HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF THEFT LAST DEC. 30, 2011. MY DAUGHTER'S BAG CONTAINING HER CELFONE, WALLET, CASH, IDs & PERSONAL THINGS, WAS TAKEN WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF A SUMPTUOUS MEAL. WE MADE MANAGEMENT AWARE OF THE THEFT AND WERE GIVEN ACCESS TO WATCH THEIR CCTV TO PROVE OUR CLAIM. TOGETHER WITH CHIC-BOY MANAGEMENT, WE ALL VIEWED AND SAW THE THEFT HAPPEN EXECUTED BY TWO WOMEN, ONE SHORT-HAIRED/TOMBOYISH WEARING WHITE-BLOUSE & THE OTHER SHOULDER LENGTH-HAIRED WEARING STRIPED BLOUSE. MGT. PROMISED TO GIVE US A COPY OF THE CCTV FOOTAGE TO PURSUE THE INVESTIGATION & WERE ADVISED TO REPORT THE INCIDENT TO POLICE. WE BLOTTERED THE INCIDENT AT THE ARANETA POLICE STATION AND THE POLICE WILL BE WAITING FOR THE FOOTAGE AS EVIDENCE AGAINST THE THIEVES.

SURPRISINGLY, LAST JAN. 3, I GOT A TEXT FROM MS. ALVI OF CHIC-BOY MGT. THAT THEY DECIDED NOT TO GIVE US AND THE POLICE A COPY OF THE FOOTAGE FOR REASONS ONLY KNOWN TO THEM. THIS IS A CLEAR MANIFESTATION OF MGT.'S UNCOOPERATIVE AND UNCARING ATTITUDE IN PURSUIT OF PROTECTION FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. HAD THEY GIVEN POLICE THE FOOTAGE, POLICE CAN PURSUE THE CASE AGAINST THE PERPETRATORS AND PREVENT THE OCCURRENCE OF SIMILAR INCIDENTS IN THE FUTURE.

THIS IS THE REASON WHY I'M WRITING THIS TO FOREWARN EVERYONE NOT TO EAT FOREVER AT CHIC-BOY SHOPWISE, ARANETA CENTER, CUBAO!!! PLEASE PASS TO ALL FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

  3. Hi Sir, is it ok to use one of your pictures (the one with the unli rice?) for my article in magandafilipino.com about rice? I'll put a credit on your photo. :) Our site is mainly focused on promoting the Filipino culture.
